As usual around April Fool's Day it's difficult in the Media world to pick out and take on stories which are genuinely real and not the lingering farts from the 1st April. We'll be honest and say, we had to read over this a few times before really picking up the fact that this is absolutely real, and is absolutely one of the best stories of the year.
Andrew W.K. has launched his own political Party called 'The Party Party'.
Whilst of course this comes with heaps of tongue in cheek humour, there are serious undertones rooted in its origins. Commenting on forming the party, Andrew W.K. stated "This polarising form of government has contributed to an adversial mentality among voters and politicians. The binary 'Us versus Them', 'Red versus Blue', 'Right versus Left' mindset has been a perpetual distraction and distorted our shared quest to make tangible improvements to our country and ourselves."
We'd vote for him.
