The word "legend" get bandied about a lot in music, but when it comes to all things extreme the word might not even feel enough to cover the almighty Napalm Death. The band are all set to have a pretty damn big 2020 - alongside this wave of new music the band are expected to unleash their sixteenth full length studio release later this year and are kicking things off in style live with a huge run of dates topping a bill which includes Eyehategod, Misery Index, Rotten Sound & Bat.
What then does this new EP from Napalm Death include and how can you get your hands on it? Well, sharing the same name as the EP itself, this release brings with it a brand new track called Logic Ravaged By Brute Force but also a cover of Sonic Youth's White Kross. Chatting about the release, vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway noted, "In keeping with NAPALM DEATH custom, we had a vast swathe of new songs with many different flavours. So then naturally we moved into single territory and opted for 'Logic Ravaged By Brute Force'. It's the coldness and desperation of the guitar chords and voice that swung it. And then, seeing as Sonic Youth mash chords like few others, this cover of 'White Kross' just seemed to lift itself beyond the constraints of cover - or filler - song into a bit of a rumbling wall-of-sound epic."
