There was one slot every band and artists hoped they weren't going to be slotted in to once the line-up was revealed. The unenviable task of performing at the same time as Elton John on the Pyramid Stage existed but if any band took the challenge on with good humour, characteristic pomp and brilliance it was Queens Of The Stone Age.
It's widely speculated that Elton drew the biggest crowd ever at the Pyramid Stage but looking across the likes of Twitter and Facebook on Sunday night, Queens Of The Stone Age still managed to go viral due to the sheer power of their set.
