Yourcodenameis:milo are creating their own answer to Josh Homme's Desert Sessions. The Queens of the Stone Age front man regularly lures fellow musicians into the Californian desert to see what they can come up with, and the Geordie rockers are doing the same from their Newcastle studio.

So far those taking part have included Tom Vek and Rueben, with Graham Coxon, Bloc Party's Gordon Moakes and Biffy Clyro all expected to put in an appearance.

Most of the tracks are laid down in a twelve-hour session with the end result fully mixed by the end. Although the work is currently being kept under wraps, an album is being considered. The band are also hoping they can tempt Bjork and Desert Session veteran PJ Harvey to the North East to get involved.
