As Paul Weller is enjoying a return to form, and his more heavier roots with his new album 'As Is Now' which entered the album chart at number 4 last week, former band mate Rick Butler is to head out on the road in a Jam tribute band.
The drummer's band is called The Gift, and will play London's Islington Academy on 23rd November. They plan to hit the road for a full UK tour in 2006. A spokes person for Butler said:
"The band title is both a nod to the final Jam album and Rick's gift to Jam fans."
Just to complete the trio, Jam basest Bruce Foxton can be seen playing with Stiff Little Fingers, who've just completed a UK tour. The latest Weller tour starts next month.
