After much protest from fans in the Southern Hemisphere about missing out on the U2 Vertigo World Tour, it has been confirmed by the band's website that they are heading down under.
Vertigo 2006 will commence in early February with stops planned in Mexico, South America, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
Details will be announced over the next few weeks.
The Current Vertigo tour ends in the next few weeks, after touring North America and Europe. Having hit the UK shores in June, by the end of 2005 they will have played live in front of 4 million fans. Making the Vertigo Tour the largest this year and showing other bands such as Coldplay that they are not even in the same league.
