Deftones bassist Chi Cheng will read some of his poetry at this year's Crossing Border Festival on November 18 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The event is described as the largest spoken word festival in combination with music, literature and film in Europe. Crossing Border had previously featured appearances by Soulfly and former Sepultura member Max Cavalera and Lee Ronaldo from Sonic Youth.

Deftones recently released their 'B-Sides & Rarities' album, which included the band's interpretations of Jawbox, Helmet, The Smiths and Duran Duran. Meanwhile the band are continuing to work on their next studio album, which is expected to see the light of day sometime in the spring of 2006.
