Those who argue that U2 are the biggest band on the planet have some actual stats to back them up now.
End of the year figures from Billboard Boxscore say the Irish band's tour reported grosses of $260 million, and drew more than three million people to 90 concerts, all of which were sell-outs.
The band's June 24-27 homecoming shows at Dublin's Croke Park were named Boxscore of the year, grossing more than $21.1 million and drawing nearly 247,000 fans.
The Eagles were next on the list; they grossed $117 million from 77 shows, followed by Neil Diamond, who raked in more than $71 million.
