It has been announced via the Ash website that the band have parted company with bass player Charlotte Hatherley.
The split is said to be perfectly amicable with Hatherley leaving to pursue her solo career, her second record is expected in the autumn.
Meanwhile Ash are to head into the studio later this year to begin work on the follow up to 2004's 'Meltdown' album.
The band formed in 1992, with Hatherley joining in 1997.
