Bestival is fast approaching, the unique Isle of Wight festival is one of the last events of the Summer and it's set to be a corker with Scissors Sisters, Guillemots, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Mystery Jets, Gogol Bordello, Klaxons, The Long Blondes and masses more bands ready to entertain you. To remind you of the fun to be had at the festival, Eclectic Method have created a video remix of last year's successes here.

Some points to note for this year are that there is no entry to the site before 10am on Friday and South West Trains have called a strike on Friday 8th and Monday 11th September, but check their website to see if this goes ahead. If you're coming by car, be sure to have pre-booked your ferry, car parking on site costs £5 but you can't return to you car after midnight. This year the festival's organisers are keen to keep things clean, so look out for bin liners and recycling sacks to make the weekend as environmentally friendly as possible.

Even more importantly, there will be fancy dress procession on Saturday at 6pm, so remember to bring your costume!

There are still weekend tickets on sale, so get buying before they're all snapped up. If you can't make it, don't despair as you can listen to Bestival Radio to get yourself in the fun frame of mind here.
