The Rakes have announced that their second album entitled 'Ten New Messages' will be released in March 2007, accompanied by the band's biggest tour to date.

Singer Alan Donohoe claims curious inspirations for the record, stating,
"The album was inspired by a combination of choral music, the television show '24', Bond theme tunes, World War 1 poets and the Sugababes.
