The registration period for Live Earth is now open.

The show, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on July 7, is one of several being staged around the world by Al Gore to highlight climate change issues.

Playing at Wembley are: Foo Fighters, Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Razorlight, Bloc Party, Beastie Boys, Duran Duran, David Gray, Damien Rice, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, James Blunt, Corinne Bailey Rae, Keane and Paolo Nutini, with more to be confirmed.

Tickets cost £55, and will be allocated by ballot. The registration time began at 12 PM Friday April 13, and runs for 72 hours (closing at 12 PM Monday April 16). To be in with a chance of buying a ticket visit

The other gigs are being held in Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo and the USA. Profits are to go to organisations including the Alliance
For Climate Protection, the Climate Group and Stop Climate Chaos.
