Two of the UK's biggest bands have brought Download and the Isle of Wight Festivals to a memorable climax.

Iron Maiden showed off Eddie's tank for one of the final times on a UK stage, as well as treating the Donington fans to a setlist including tracks from recent album 'A Matter of Life and Death' and classic 1982 LP 'Number of the Beast'.

Meanwhile on the Isle of Wight the Rolling Stones lived up to their 'Bigger Bang' tour name with a stunning fireworks display closing the Sunday night at the festival.

Earlier the band had been joined by Paolo Nutini and Amy Winehouse for duets.

Keep your eyes on Room Thirteen over the next couple of days for reviews from Donington, The Isle of Wight and the Rock Ness festival in Scotland.
