It's been one mighty rubbish summer so far, and this has had a big effect on festivals.

Fflam and Truck were called off due to the bad weather, and LodeStar has also gone, with organizers blaming the weather for poor ticket sales.

However, despite concerns after the site flooded last month, Reading isn't thought to be set for the chop.

Carling Weekend boss Melvin Benn is confident the site will be drained: "It's much better this week. We're literally pumping water off by the thousands of gallons an hour; pumping it off the land and moving it down the river really, and it's really making quite a substantial difference," reports BBC 6Music.

Reading and Leeds will feature headline sets from Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Smashing Pumpkins (Main Stage), with other stage toppers including Ash, The View, Klaxons, Jimmy Eat World and Unkle.
