According to a story in The London Paper, Oasis are one of the bands on the wishlist of the O2 Arena.

David Campbell, European Chief Executive of the venue’s promoters AEG wants the band to play a run of shows, like Prince and Take That did in 2007.

Coldplay and U2 are also being touted as possible acts to play the former Millennium Dome, however when the U2 to play the O2 Arena story came out
last November, the band claimed they had no plans at that point to play live in 2008 and warned fans to be careful after one ticket website listed shows at the O2 Arena.

All three bands are working on new material, with Coldplay’s album thought to be with us by early summer.
