Bloc Party’s long awaited third album ‘Intimacy’ is available in digital download format from today. The band made the announcement via their first ever webchat with fans and follows the recent release of new single ‘Mercury’.
‘Intimacy’ can be downloaded from the band's website here, while the album will be available in CD format from 27th October and will apparently feature additional tracks.

Recorded with producers who worked on both ‘Silent Alarm’ and ‘A Weekend in the City’, the album is said to encompass the band’s progression from the experimental roots laid with previous single ‘Flux’, while maintaining their ability to write indie classics in the vein of ‘Banquet’ and ‘Helicopter’.

Fresh from an exhaustive US tour the band are playing the following dates this summer:
