T in the Park boss Geoff Ellis has announced that AC/DC will not be playing next year’s festival, following a claim by The Sun that the band had signed up for the Scottish event.
"I can confirm that AC/DC will not be playing at T In The Park 2009," he said in a statement. "We do not want AC/DC fans to buy a ticket for T In The Park under false pretences as this would not only disappoint them, but also the many people desperate to get their hands on a T In The Park
ticket regardless of the headliner.”
AC/DC have a few English arena shows lined up for April and are likely to be linked to a number of UK and European festivals for summer 2009.
