One month away from the action getting underway, the Glastonbury Festival line up has been announced.

We already knew that the headliners would be Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur, with highlights from the rest of the weekend looking like this.

On Thursday June 25 the Queen’s Head Stage will host Metronomy, Kap Bambino, Ebony Bones, Golden Silvers, Alessi's Ark, Liz Green, The Gentle Good, Charlene Soraia, Stornoway, We Have Band and Maximo Park.

Joining Neil Young on the Friday Pyramid Stage will be The Specials, Lily Allen, Fleet Foxes, Special Guests, Regina Spektor, Gabrielle Cilmi and Bjorn Again.

Playing The Other Stage on the Friday are Bloc Party, The Ting Tings, Lady GaGa, Friendly Fires, White Lies, The View, The Maccabees, The Rakes, The Whip and Mr Hudson.

The John Peel Stage features Doves, Jamie T, Jack Penate, Little Boots, Metronomy, VV Brown, The Virgins, Fucked Up, Rumble Strips, Dan Black and General Fiasco.

Other Friday highlights include Q Tip, The Streets and Lamb on the Jazzworld Stage, Ray Davies headlining the Acoustic Stage, Animal Collective, The Horrors and Noah And The Whale playing the Park Stage and Avalon Stage hosting The Blockheads and British Sea Power.

Saturday June 27 has Bruce Springsteen topping the bill on the Pyramid Stage, with Kasabian, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Dizzee Rascal, Spinal Tap, Eagles Of Death Metal, Tinariwen and VV Brown in support.

The Other Stage hosts Franz Ferdinand, Pendulum, Maximo Park, Paolo Nutini, Peter Doherty, The Script, Jason Mraz, Metric, Peter, Bjorn and John and Broken Family Band.

Saturday’s John Peel Stage has Jarvis Cocker, White Lies, Florence And The Machine, Passion Pit, Gaslight Anthem, Hockey, The Temper Trap, Esser, The Big Pink, Baddies and The Nightingales.

Other highlights include Tindersticks on the Acoustic Stage, Bon Iver and M Ward on The Park Stage, Guilty Pleasures, Dan Black and The King Blues on the Queen’s Head Stage and The Wonder Stuff, Eliza Carthy, Badly Drawn Boy, The King Blues and The Lancashire Hotpots playing on the Avalon Stage.

The Festival comes to a close with a headline set from Blur on Sunday June 28.

Joining them on the Pyramid Stage will be Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Madness, Tom Jones, Amadou and Mariam, Tony Christie, Status Quo and Easy Star AllStars.

Sunday’s Other Stage line up features Prodigy, Glasvegas, Bon Iver, Bat For Lashes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Enter Shikari, Brand New, Art Brut, Boxer Rebellion and In Case Of Fire.

Echo And The Bunnymen will close the John Peel Stage, with The Wombats, Noisettes, Ladyhawke, The Soft Pack, Just Jack, Emmy The Great, Twisted Wheel, We Have Band, Wave Machines and Good Books.

Elsewhere Black Eyed Peas top the bill on the Jazzworld Stage.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2009 are all sold out.
