Following a slightly longer gap than expected due to having fun in Austin, Texas earlier this month (and it was a lot of fun, thank you for asking) we are back with Band of the Week. This week sees Cambridge band The Puncture Repair Kit, who have been delighting audiences ears with their beautiful sounding indie. With seven band members and more instruments than you can shake a stick at, The Puncture Repair Kit make for fun times live and something they have managed to capture on CD too.
Bio:
The Puncture Repair Kit began life in March 2007 when songwriter and animator Matthew enlisted the brains, hands and voices of several local scientists (who were also musicians, as luck would have it). Together they set out on a foray into enchanting, inventive pop music which has seen them share stages with bands and artists such as Bearsuit, Emma Pollock (The Delgados), The School, The Strange Death of Liberal England, The Little Ones, Pony Up, Johnny Foreigner, Betty & The Werewolves, Esiotrot, The Research and The Brontosaurus Chorus.
