US grungers Stone Temple Pilots have announced their first UK tour date since the band's reunion in 2008, when vocalist Scott Weiland left supergroup Velvet Revolver. In addition to the previously announced slot at Download 2010, STP will play London's Brixton Academy on 16th June as one of several European dates, which also includes Olympia Theater in Dublin on 14th June.
The band's sixth album, which is to be self-titled, is due to be released later this year.
