Record Store Day was founded in 2007 as a celebration of the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores.
Record Store Day is celebrating its third event on 17th April 2010.
Celebrations generally include live events and special releases. Musicians that have been involved in the past include the likes of Metallica, Killswitch Engage, The Stooges and Bob Dylan.
