Madina Lake frontman Nathan Leone has released a new blog giving fans an update on his brother, Matthew, following his horrific attack in Chicago.

The Madina Lake bassist suffered a broken nose, fractured skull, a broken jaw and is still recovering in hospital following brain surgery after being beaten by 33 year old Justin Pive. Leone had been walking to meet a friend when he saw Pive beating up his wife and attempted to prvent the attack.

In his latest blog, Matthew's twin brother Nathan has written:
"Matthew's making good progress. His doctors have scheduled the next surgery for July 16 wherein they hope to re-apply the portion of his skull that has been removed to accommodate the swelling in his brain. So for the next two weeks he will continue to rest, build up his strength and spirit and hopefully by then he'll be healthy enough for surgery."

The band have now set up a fund to help cover the cost of Matthew's medical bills. Those who wish to donate are asked to go to the offical Matthew Leone fund website.
