British four piece Skindred are making considerable waves in the US .After being the victim of corporate reshuffling not once but twice with BMG and then MCA they finally found a home with Lava / Atlantic in the US ,who re released their debut album Babylon on 31st August 04 ,with a new sleeve and 3 additional tracks ;Start First ,Tears and The Beginning of Sorrows as well as sound system interludes.
The album went straight into the Billboard Heatseekers chart at number 19 and is still in the Top 20 ten weeks later. Radio track ‘Nobody’ is climbing the Active Rock and Alternative Radio charts and is currently the 9th most played track on rock radio in the US. ’Babylon ‘ is also the number 1 Reggae album in the US. Continuous US touring has seen them build a fan base by supporting Sevendust then Nonpoint and now on their biggest US dates to date supporting Korn in arenas. After the Korn dates the band will play some US radio shows and a TV appearance on the Conan O Brian show before returning home to the UK for some small Christmas club shows.
