Saving Abel played for 2,000 returning sailors when they teamed up with Yahoo! for the site's signature "Maximum Performance" program. During the exclusive performance, the band played for the returning crew of USS Carl Vinson who had been on a 3 month deployment.
This is not the first time the band have played for such a crowd having previously taken part in the USO tour through Kuwait and Iraq, the inspiration behind their latest album, 'Miss America'. Speaking of their perforamce singer Jared Weekes said, "Just being out there with those men and women who do so much for us and the country we live in, we really wanted to give them something back."
