The first batch of line-up announcements for the 2011 SOS festival, which takes place at Radcliffe Civic on 16th, 17th July (Saturday & Sunday,) have now been released.

Heading up the line-up for Sunday is Scottish rockers GUN who've had a long and distinguished career since their debut album "Taking On The World" back in 1989, followed by albums "Gallus" and "Swagger". These three albums spawned UK Top 40 hits and the band toured the States and also supported the Rolling Stones on their European Tour of 1990. GUN's cover of "Word Up!" hit Top Ten success in the UK singles chart representing the pinnacle of their popularity at that time. The band split in 1997 but returned with a new line-up in 2008. A new album is scheduled for release later in 2011 with what promises to be a real return to the original GUN sound Exit State, Marseille, Citizen Charlie, Vega, Wizzard & Ten By Ten.

On Saturday the festival line-up is headed up by Fury UK who recently toured with USA legends Y&T, released their critically-acclaimed "A Way Of Life" album & are on a 12-date UK tour with Saxon & Wolfsbane in April this year. Fury UK are joined by Nightvision, Fantasist, Evil Scarecrow & Spires.
