My Chemical Romance are set to open the 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards at O2 Academy Brixton.
The ceremony takes place on February 23 and is followed by the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour, headlined by Crystal Castles with support from Magnetic Man, Everything Everything and The Vaccines.
There's also a raft of headline acts playing iconic London venues to celebrate with the Shockwaves NME Awards Shows; including Mystery Jets, Noah and the Whale, Edwyn Collins, White Lies, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Warpait, Caribou and Carl Barat.
