Inner City Grit Records will be staging a special music event in Bristol on Saturday 30th of July 2011.
The event will include a Rise Records in-store from 4 until 6 where Tessa and Hollie from The Slits will be doing a DJ set (they will be joined by Viv Albertine)and then a show in the evening at the Thunderbolt, both to help raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The evening event is being held as an official tribute for the late ARI UP (1962- 2010) lead singer of legendary Punk band The Slits (and step-daughter of Sex Pistol/P.I.L John Lydon) who passed away last year.
The event will feature DJ sets from:

Mark Stewart (Maffia, The Pop Group)
Viv Albertine (The Slits, Solo special guest appearance)

Exclusive Slits T-shirts will be available with proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
During the night there will be a screening of the Slits Last Video "Lazy Slam" + other Slits footage and a special video presentation 'A Tribute To Ari' (featuring rare and unseen stills and video)
The evening event starts at 7:30pm
Tickets are 12 pound from Bristol Ticket Shop, Idle Hands Records and Rise Records or 15 pound on the door.
