London based indie label Xtra Mile Recordings have teamed up with Pledge Music to offer supporters the chance to participate in a new campaign. The label is home to Frank Turner, The Xcerts, Crazy Arm, Chris T-T, Jim Ward amongst others and during the London Riots in August they watched their stock go up in flames at the Sony DADC Warehouse that housed [PIAS], a large distributor of over 150 independent record labels. All in all, millions of pounds worth of stock from Independent labels turned to ashes, including all Xtra Mile's new releases, limited editions and back catalogue.
As a result of this they have put together, with PledgeMusic, a direct-to-fan campaign. They are asking fans to tell them what stock they would like to be replenished from their catalogue and if enough people pledge, those records will then be re-pressed. Pledgers will also receive a digital download of new tracks from the likes of Frank Turner, Beans On Toast and new signings Mull Historical Society.
