Blur are to release a 3-disc DVD entitled Parklive, documenting their show to celebrate the closing of the Olympics. The box set is also set to contain songs from their warm up shows.
The set was available online less than twenty four hours after the performance finished and contained a varied set drawing from material throughout their career. It lasted around two hours and featured guest appearances from the likes of Harry Enfield, who turned up dressed as a tea lady during 'Parklife'.
Criticism was raised at the time by issues surrounding the sound quality, with many fans complaining that the gig was too quiet.
It has also been speculated that the release will he helping Blur to recuperate their funds after Damon Albarn revealed that the group was paid only £300 for their participation.
