The Temper Trap’s latest single, ‘Sweet Disposition’, seems to be causing a real stir in the British music industry, gaining them a place on BBC Radio, with a sold out ICA date already organised. It’s a light, blissful surge of bright music with a liberal soaking of delay and euphoric vocals that soar high with an air of reverential calm. ‘Sweet Disposition’ sounds like a pared down version of Interpol with the same focused electro vibes, but a more melodic feel. The glossy backing sports an emphatic drumbeat that drives the tune along and keeps it stuck in your mind. It’s dreamy but engaging at the same time and has plenty of potential to become a chilled out indie anthem over future months.
