Catchy Dance Beats

With a name inspired by a fuzz pedal, Truly Beautiful Disaster trade in heavy electro with plenty of effects and trippy dance beats. The ‘Luxury Living’ EP shows off their tight beats, catchy rhythms and skill in producing slick electro tunes. It’s no surprise to learn that the duo working under the names Fred Gazebo and Gumbo Stoop have already been part of a mystery major label act.

‘Mirandah’s Verandah’ is a heavy dance track with looped vocals and chainsaw effect synths zooming back and forth at breakneck speed. ‘E.E.N’ keeps up the breakneck pace with blasting synths segueing in and out and crisp rhythms hurtling over each other. The lyrics are kept to a minimum, but they are at least memorable, for example “They strapped me down to a dentist’s chair”.

The tunes are crisp and well-produced and carry you away from the stress of the real world via a mass of seething electro beats that suddenly erase your insignificant thoughts. Whatever their identity, Truly Beautiful Disaster have achieved great success in the underground scene, which they look set to continue as they hit commercial dancefloors.
