Andrea Faithful

Listening to Andrea Faithfuls’ ‘Rock The Flex’ you can almost imagine this self proclaimed stylist/dancer/fashion designer sitting at home and plotting what already over populated music genre she could dive into at the moment to
make her name.

Well folks, she opted for electro. Lord help us.

Sounding every inch like a poor mans Lady Gaga (and that’s saying something) Single 'Rock The flex' sees Faithful switching between monotonous, slightly off key, nonsensical lyrics such as "Last week, didn’t have the cheek, so observe, you haven't got the nerve.." and "Just Shoot, filling up your boots, are you going to tickle and tease me?", to yelping "I likes to rock, I likes to rock, I likes to rock the flex in the disco...in the discothèque' in what can only be described as a bizarre London meets Yorkshire accent.

With Magna Kartah on production, musically the track is reasonably interesting with heavy guitar work at the intro and chorus and memorable electro beats that whilst unoriginal, provide a decent backing track that is smoothly put together.

It perhaps goes without saying that the rest of the E.P is of much the same standard. Without a hint of irony, the third track on the E.P is called 'Clone' and as you may expect from such a manufactured act, it sounds exactly like the other 3 Tracks on offer. Magna Kartah offers some smooth production throughout, but on the whole its just not enough to save this E.P from itself. We are promised that Rock the Flex will be "unforgettable" and it is - unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.
