No apologies!

We The Faceless are a band with bags of potential. The sound is big and brash, drawing on everything that is great from Hard Rock and colliding with part Thrash and part Punk/Grunge to bring a ballsy sound that is fresh and new. Having come to the music scene in 2007, the band, which compromises of an international persona of, Jack on vocals born in Cape Town, Bassist Diego who was born in Uruguay, guitarist Travis from Malta, and the only Brit, Pete, on drums who comes from Dumfries, look to bring some of the sounds from 90’s rock kicking and screaming into the modern day music evolution.

The single, ‘Isle Of Dogs’ is a corker comprising of large meaty guitar riffs that grind and squeal like raw metal, whilst the bass lines chug and pound like fists on a chest. Jack’s vocals are mid-low-range, in the vein of Scott Weiland, however he doesn’t mind a high squeal, nor a deep Type O Negative key. This is masculine rock with an extra jolt of testosterone.

It is therefore interesting to see the total contrast in, ‘Hollow’ which is an acoustic song albeit played on an electric guitar. It’s simple, but still has the ability to sound strong and tough, a bit like Jack is singing this after wrestling a bear into submission. It does give the band more credibility and range, and shows that here they are a record deal waiting to happen.
