Club foot on fire

Boof! Kasabian's finest moment finally gets a proper single release. You probably already know it: industrial strength bass line that sounds like it's fuelled by plutonium, the catchiest backing vocal chorus this side of the plague, cavernous drumming and a guitar so jagged it sounds like it could take the head off a large cow.

Of course large elements of it are derivative and it does sound like an amalgamation of any number of well known Manc bands at times. However wearing influences on sleeves is something Kasabian aren't afraid to do, and in this instance it works wonders as there's enough of their own creativity to make it a forward thinking release rather than lame pastiche.
