Teenagers in Tokyo - Peter Pan
The dark pop quintet that is Sydney’s own Teenagersintokyo are heading further (much further) ashore with their new single ‘Peter Pan’. The band combines a mix of grunge, Goth, disco and dark pop to create their very own style of music, something that has earned them a formidable repute back home. Now since they have relocated to London, they are going to be gaining quite a reputation here to.
Female vocalist Samantha Lim fronts Teenagersintokyo and it is her strong set of lungs that first pulls you in. The music, which is of the bands own concoction strikes next. A slight dance beat is present with a running melody and some darker pop tones all hooked together by the minds behind the melodies (Miska Mandic on Keyboard, Linda Marigliano on Bass, Sophie McGinn on Guitar and drummer Rudy Udovich). Together these elements create a strong and very praise worthy piece of music.
The bands forthcoming album is due for release in spring.
