good advice review

Good Advice is the first single off Slaves to Gravity’s second album ‘Under water, outer space.’ This kind of quality grunge tinged rock should see the band, led singer Tommy Gleeson, build on the rave reviews they got when they released their debut album, ‘Scatter the crow,’ back in 2008.

The single is reminiscent of the likes of Alice in Chains and badmotorfinger era Soundgarden but modern production from Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson and Airbourne) makes for a contemporary slice of alt rock. The solo from lead guitarist Mark Verney shows signs of him being influenced by Soundgarden’s axeman Kim Thayil.

Not a breakneck, 100mph rock song but a good guitar and bass chugging track with strong vocals that command your attention well.

Lead singer Tommy Gleeson stated that they wanted to raise their game when making their second album and if this first single is anything to go by they are well on track. It would be good advice for you to check this band out.
