Moody

This single has a gothy, folk-rock sound, like Gogol Bordello caught in the 1880’s playing a sea shanty but with progressive riffs; it feels like a tune written specifically for “The Mighty Boosh”, there is a quirky dark, goth-rock feel to it which would sit perfectly comfortably alongside the other music they have on that show. ‘The Last Steampunk Waltz’ and ‘Hand Of Glory’ are definitely atmospheric but they’re not totally original, bringing to mind The 80s Matchbox B-line Disaster at times, but not as heavy, the later is very 80s and has a strong theatrical edge to it with a strong keyboard sound and over the top gravelly vocals. It’s quite a fun mix but they feel right on the edge of being a novelty band.
