Evilive impress on debut

It hits you with a bang, Greg Davies' deep guttural screams dominating 'Terrify', a track supported by strong beats and deep passion, filled with winding melodies that tease the senses as the song progresses through to the end where the metalcore styled fast paced drum beats give a nod to the traditions of the genre.

Evilive have put their own stamp on things, mixing up the harmonies and bringing a wide range of melodies and beats to ensure that while they're unquestionably metalcore, they are more than just the stereotypical rolling drums & heavy riffs. This is music that gets into your subconscious and you hear more and more with every listen.

Evilive's style is to create a dark scary place with choppy guitars, frantic drums and songs dominated by the growl. This makes the infrequent melodic lyrics super smooth and a light spot in some heavy tracks. Title track 'Rise' brings a slightly different beat, one that compels you to move. It's a head banging mind blowing piece.

Each track on the EP is well crafted, the boys from Barry, South Wales, showing a natural talent for creating a perfect mix of heavy and light with Dan Saunders' drums and Josh Bt on bass driving the songs forward while guitars from Jon Fisher and Andrew Richards change up the melodies.

If you like your metalcore deep and growly then Evilive are ready to blow your mind.
