A high quality folk release
With the popularity of acts such as Mumford & Sons folk has made a return and with their debut single "Pink Radio" Hares have immediately launched themselves out there as a high pedigree act. Frontman Rob Skipper has formed a highly talented collective of musicians who have created a charming ballad that should, and most likely will, garner high levels of attention.
There is a dark, mysterious feel to this song that screams of quality musicianship and songwriting. The harmonies and melodies are beautiful and lilting and hark back to yesteryear whilst being firmly rooted in the here and now. From the piano to the barely there flute the core musical makeup of the song is captivating and the haunting edge to the male/female duet vocals of Rob Skipper and Susannah Austin adds a further layer of class to what is a truly lovely tune.
With such talent on show with this single the future is promising for Hares and quite simply they deserve every success that comes their way.
