Gritty and honest country/rock

Edgy and passionate, "Twilight Hour" is the latest release from Tina Lie. We are treated to a rich, velvety voice which is pushing itself to the limits to give us an Americana, country rock and roll experience. Reminiscent of Sheryl Crow and clearly influenced by the Nashville scene, this is a gritty and adventurous single. Having worked with renowned Nashville producer Byron House there is definitely quality in the production of this track.

Lie's voice pulls no punches and its gravelly sternness is honest and distinctive. At times the instrumentals do wander which can be distracting but the powerful vocals do try to reel you back in.

As a first experience of Tina Lie this is an intriguing taste of what is on offer. This is a single definitely worth experiencing for its uniqueness in the current market but doesn't leave me really driven to go out and take a listen to the album, "Free Enough to Fall", as a whole.
