Get lost in Aaron's Agony

Italy has bought us many delicious things over the years and now they are adding some music to the mix. Northern Italy is unleashing childhood friends Aaron's Agony, formed in 2008 and now releasing their debut album "Lost Inside Myself" in the UK.

This five piece have incorporated a range of influences within the sound they are creating, ranging from hardcore and electronic to punk and metal. Once drawn upon, the concluding result is mind blowing! The release opens with 'Chapter One' – after all where better to start than at the beginning, which is basically a rumble in the direction in which the band are heading, an introduction into their sound, a small, loud and energetic snippet of what to expect. As for the remainder of the release, the music is hammered into your head, hard. The guitars stomp out riffs while the drums crash along, together creating infectious melodies fused with power.

The tag team of vocals between the sinister screams, the yell it loud and proud harmonies and laddish lead vocal makes for some of the most cramped, deafening yet impressive combinations of recent months. The vocals of all types play off the energy of each other, working as one rather than individually singing their part and then placed next to someone else yelling theirs and so forth. The choruses are very hypnotic and can really pull in your attention and even get you mumbling along at times.

After a few listens to this release one can only image the magnitude of the live performances that these guys are able to create. There are many sing/screamo acts from around the globe at the moment and it looks as though Aaron's Agony is the latest to set the standard high. Here is hoping the UK is on the agenda for the touring season.
