Unleash your inner demon and let yourself rock out to these monster tunes.

Hard rockers Last Known Addiction are here with their new album "One Left Standing". With more than a hint of blues and plenty of attitude to boot, the quartet are certainly making sure they're noticed!

There are plenty of clichéd lyrics ("burn it up" my personal favourite) with several references to fast cars and faster women – add to this the soaring vocals and meaty guitar harmonies and you, like me, are probably imagining Last Known Addiction as a typical big American rock band, its members all sporting long hair and ripped jeans; imagine my surprise, therefore, when I found out the band are actually from Northern Ireland and far from the rebellious image I'd expected, all of the guys look surprisingly clean cut!

I'm a massive fan of the hard rock/blues cross-over sound that's done so brilliantly by bands like Voodoo Johnson and Lavellion, and Last Known Addiction, whilst a little easier on the blues, more than match these bands for sheer skill and creativity. "One Left Standing" is an enjoyable album that all manner of rock fan will love; all of the key ingredients are there, but for me there is something missing. I can't put my finger on what exactly that is but unfortunately, for me, I did not experience a "wow" moment during the album.
The big soaring vocals weren't quite big enough and the meaty guitars not quite juicy enough, leaving me so utterly frustrated because it is a killer album! I really hope it's a simple case of a recording not quite portraying the magic that one would experience at a live performance because I can't see how this band could improve on what is already a great sound!

Last Known Addiction have released a great collection of songs in "One Left Standing" that will more than appeal to music fans everywhere; unleash your inner demon and let yourself rock out to these monster tunes.
