Ready To Explode

Hitting you instantly with a wall of colliding synths and guitars, Bristol rockers Planting Claymore instantly make it clear that they are a force to be reckoned with. Sounding like an orchestral blast of rock, EP opener, 'Re-gen' is a colossal blend of contemporary rock with a subtle undercurrent of classic cravings that makes for a deadly combination. As singer Simon Bravery's vocals add a raw emotion filled edge to the track it all comes together nicely to make for a mesmerizing introduction.
'Killcycle' sees the band upping the metal quota as guitars lead the charge in a flurry of hazy, fuzzy riffs that meld to stomp inducing beats and thunder and pound with extra bite to create a juggernaut of beats that won't fail to entice. Last but not least, 'Airlock' torpedoes through as the Bristol band continue to throw out the metal riffs laden with an electronic edge and with sheer skill and irresistibility. With hints of Tool mingled with Stone Sour amazingly balanced out with a nod to Pendulum, Planting Claymore have crafted an exciting sound that demands you pay attention; concise, melodic and yet heavy enough to pack a punch, it can surely be only a matter of time before this band explode.
