Phenomenal song-writing and Evocative sounds.
After a short encounter with their second single 'In the Script' which was released from their first debut 'The sound I still Hear' I was a tad worried the four piece from Brighton, would go the same route many other Indie/Rock bands had gone; to my surprise, they didn't.
Their next release 'The Spell' from their new and upcoming debut 'Shake the Darkness' sees the band building and reviving on many qualities that have been lost throughout the British guitar scene lately and expanding on the melodic and evocative sound they've created.
The Spell is typically radio friendly, making it an ideal first single release; it delivers uplifting harmonies, soft orchestral strings which build to an energetic sing-along chorus and vintage sounding compressors, of which don't interfere at all with the polished finish this track has.
Their phenomenal song writing had already been showcased in 'The sound I still hear' but my anticipation levels have reached their peak; I can't wait to hear how much more elevating the rest of the album can get.
