Black Country Communion - The Ousider

After a storming 2010 which saw Black Country Communion (BCC) release their powerhouse of a debut album and play a couple of exclusive shows, the band are back with a new album in the pipeline and a tour lined up.

As a preview to the much anticipated 'Black Country Communion 2' album release, 'The Outsider' serves as a taster of what's to come. What can be certain from the single is that Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, Joe Bonamassa and Derek Sherinian are back with a heavier sound and as dynamic as ever. The obvious '70s influences are apparent, the tempo rocking and the guitar riffs driving. As expected, Hughes's vocals are as fresh as ever; the voice of rock reaches all of the notes perfectly and effortlessly.

Throughout, the song is tight, held together with Bonham's crashing drums, Hughes's solid bass and Sherinian's Hammond sounding keyboards. Of course, as expected, Bonamassa's playing is fast, furious and melodic. This is a great track and it leaves the listener wanting more and more. The anticipation for the new album has just gone off the scale.
