Quirky indie-dance

With seriously Siouxsie Sioux-esque vocals and minimal indie-dance cool running throughout, 'Violet Eyes' from My Gold Mask plays like a supremely danceable and addictively catchy Yeah Yeah Yeah's meets The Creatures, it's perhaps slightly less dark than the latter but along with the vocals it has a moody, atmospheric quality that initially sparks that comparison.

The track is melodic and the foot tapping inducing Jesus and Mary Chain-ish percussion and fuzz-soaked guitar means it has plenty of mainstream appeal, however the vocal style and the open echoes of the production along with some nice little background quirkiness means its also pretty memorable and won't get boring with repeated plays.
