90s Alt-rock Cool

Long Island three piece, Broadcaster, have a strong 90s alt rock sound; the Joyride EP has a slightly pop, slightly college rock feel, think Lemonheads, Sebadoh, Buffalo Tom, and you have their sound pretty much wrapped up. Melodic tracks with dense distortion soaked guitar sounds and slightly gritty but tuneful vocals.

The EP has s properly retro feel, like a long lost classic discovered too late. The appetite for this kind of alt-rock isn't like it was back in the day and the success of this EP really depends how many people are willing to take that trip down alt-rock memory lane. Sso Broadcaster are unlikely to create a massive buzz and that's a shame as these tracks are the right side of catchy, especially the opener, 'Snow Party', the most memorable tune, here with nice sing along vocal lines and a danceable beat.
