UK Hardcore

UK hardcore with some serious metal riffage thrown in; you can hear Impact's influences (Agnostic Front, and Pantera amongst them) oozing from this heavy duty slab of nastiness. With their hardcore-punk attitude surrounded by meaty guitars, this lot aren't messing about.

Opening straight away with the heavy stuff, the EP begins with 'To Those Lives Lost' involving some low and dirty chugging from the bass and guitars, and barely intelligible snarling from front man Ian. 'Seconds Out' starts with a faster pace and vocal style, bringing in a nice splash of gang vocals. There really is no let up from the start though, with all five tracks smacking you repeatedly with intense walls of sound. The only slight gripe with the EP is that the production tends to be muddy and you feel at times that you may be missing out on the finer details. The cracking 'Trouble Finds Me' for instance and its duel vocal attack had me straining to hear the vocals, but apart from that, if heavy metal infused hardcore is your thing this should be in your collection.
