Rebel Territory release a double A side single
Hailing from the small and fairly unknown Midlands town of Belper, two thirds of Rebel Territory - Lee (guitar/vocals) and James (bass/keys/backing vocals) - began playing together before they even hit their teens; the band line up was later rounded off with drummer Sean. After much hard work and dedication, the lads are set to release a debut double A-side single.
The first song, 'Falling For You' is an indie infused rock tune, describing the lure of passion though pounding drums, standard guitar, moderate vocals and nothing particularly new or innovative but enjoyable never the less. The second track, 'On The Rock'n'Roll' is much more prominent. The song has a catchy repetitive chorus, harmonies are able to develop and the bleating of 'baba baba' is quite enticing at times. It is the latter of the two singles that is definitely the strongest and the one that will make the most impact on a listener.
If Rebel Territory is able to create an album full of tracks like 'On The Rock'n'Roll', then the little town of Belper will be a name memorable for the talents behind the band.
