Rock Pure And Simple

Sometimes you want music that isn't complicated, the type of stuff that doesn't posture and pose but simply plugs into the amp, puts the sticks into the drummer's hand and lets the singer belt out the vocals with ease and passion; basically the type of music that rocks out without the stylist melting a complete glazier with their enthusiastic use of hairspray whilst the band members squabble over who used the last of the eyeliner. Step forward Hemel Hempstead's The Raid, a band that don't try to overcomplicate things merely for the sake of it but instead put oomph and gusto into their music so that you know you really are going to get a rock song and their latest single, 'Heads Or Tales' only works to reinforce the point. Blazing a trail with crunchy riffs, swaggering bass lines and vocals that act like an old friend encouraging you to sing along, 'Heads Or Tales' is pure unadulterated rock, full of attitude, full of excitement and with an infectious bite that will have 'Heads Or Tales' permanently stuck on repeat.
